What is a Thriller?

A thriller is a novel, play, or film with an exciting plot usually involving crime or espionage (spy), with a very exciting contest or experience
Another definition would be a genre of film that uses suspense, tension and excitement as it's main elements.
Many Thrillers use cross genres to make the film attract to a wider audience.
